Strong Collaboration! JDEnergy Partners with Tongwei Group for the Third Time, Building a New Paradigm of PV-Storage Integratio
Global PV leader Tongwei Group and energy storage pioneer JDEnergy have joined hands for the third time. From Yancheng to Hefei, and then to Nantong, the two parties have successfully implemented three energy storage projects, with a cumulative capacity of 25MW/50MWh. This collaboration represents not only an expansion in project scale, but also a strategic practice of jointly building a “renewable energy + energy storage” ecosystem based on deep mutual trust and industrial synergy.

Nantong Base:
Solving Core Challenges of Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement
Tongwei Group’s Nantong Base, a photovoltaic module manufacturing facility with an annual production capacity of up to 10GW and annual electricity consumption of approximately 100 million kWh, faces key challenges in ensuring stable power supply for large-scale production, controlling rising energy costs, and increasing the utilization of green electricity. These challenges are not only operational issues affecting production efficiency, but also critical tests for advancing green manufacturing.

Tongwei Group Nantong Base 10MW/20MWh Energy Storage Project
To address these challenges, JDEnergy developed a customized 10MW/20MWh energy storage project solution. The project adopts JDEnergy’s distributed modular energy storage system solution and deploys 48 units of eBlock-418 energy storage cabinets. Since its operation in October 2025, the system efficiency has remained consistently above 86%.
Through precise peak shaving and valley filling strategies, the project is expected to save approximately RMB 240,000 in annual electricity costs for the base, achieving significant economic benefits. Meanwhile, the system effectively smooths grid load fluctuations, improves power quality, and ensures stable electricity supply for production.

Three Successful Collaborations:
Building a Reliable Foundation for Green Manufacturing
The outstanding performance of the Nantong Base energy storage project is not an isolated case. Previously, the two energy storage projects delivered and commissioned by JDEnergy for Tongwei Group — the Yancheng Base 10MW/20MWh Energy Storage Project and the Hefei Base 5MW/10MWh Energy Storage Project — have also demonstrated excellent operational performance, with system efficiency consistently maintained at around 86%.
The three successful collaborations not only validate the high reliability of JDEnergy’s products, but also bring multi-dimensional strategic value to Tongwei Group:

Diversified Economic Benefits:
In addition to peak-valley electricity price arbitrage, energy storage systems have the potential to participate in demand-side response and ancillary service markets, expanding revenue channels and significantly improving overall project economics.

Enhanced Production Resilience:
During occasional grid fluctuations or power restrictions, the energy storage system can provide millisecond-level power support, ensuring continuous operation of critical production lines and greatly enhancing the operational and power supply resilience of the manufacturing base.

Enabling Green Electricity Consumption:
Energy storage systems can effectively smooth the fluctuations of renewable energy output such as solar power, increasing the local consumption ratio of green electricity and improving power quality. This significantly reduces carbon emissions and directly supports enterprises in achieving their ESG goals.

Strong Collaboration:
Advancing Toward Industrial Future Through Deep Synergy
The continuous cooperation between JDEnergy and Tongwei Group has become a benchmark example of deep collaboration across the industrial chain and mutual value creation. As a global leader in the photovoltaic industry, Tongwei Group has worked closely with JDEnergy, a leading energy storage company, to jointly explore a closed-loop model of “PV manufacturing – energy storage application – green manufacturing”, demonstrating the value of vertical integration across the industry chain. This collaboration effectively shortens the path from technological innovation to market application and accelerates the optimization and iteration of solutions.

The collaboration between the two parties provides a replicable and scalable pathway for green transformation across the manufacturing sector. Through PV-storage integration, enterprises can achieve not only stable green power supply and economical operation, but also accelerate the large-scale adoption of energy storage, support the development of new power systems, and promote the healthy growth of the clean energy industry.
Looking ahead, as the strategic partnership between the two parties continues to deepen, the “two-way commitment” between JDEnergy and Tongwei Group will inject stronger momentum into industrial green transformation and the development of new power systems, setting a benchmark for industrial integration and win-win cooperation.
