Webinar | JDEnergy Successfully Hosts Pakistan Energy Storage Online Seminar, Unlocking New Market Opportunities
On April 15, 2026, the online Pakistan Energy Storage Seminar hosted by Singularity Energy — Unlocking Energy Storage in Pakistan — was successfully held. The conference brought together a number of energy industry experts and enterprise representatives to jointly discuss the key role of energy storage technologies in Pakistan’s energy transition, as well as feasible pathways for market entry and project implementation in 2026.
01.
Energy Storage: A Critical Strategic Pillar for Pakistan’s Energy Transition

The first speaker at the conference was Hasnat Khan, Senior Vice Chairman of the Solar Association of Pakistan. In his presentation, he noted that with the increasing share of renewable energy, energy storage systems will play a pivotal role in the future power system. Hasnat Khan emphasized that energy storage will not only help improve grid stability but also significantly enhance energy security and the absorption capacity of renewable energy such as solar power. Meanwhile, he analyzed the current development status of Pakistan’s energy market, along with the policy and infrastructure challenges it faces.
02.
Energy Storage Solutions for the Pakistani Market

Subsequently, Tang Teng, Pre-sales Technical Director of the Overseas Marketing Division at Singularity Energy, introduced the company’s full-value-chain energy storage solutions tailored for the Pakistani market. Tang Teng elaborated on the implementation methods and technical pathways of energy storage systems in local projects, focusing on how the "All in One" integrated capability improves project safety and reliability and drives the large-scale development of the energy storage industry.
With outstanding product reliability and technological advancement, Singularity Energy has delivered more than 2,000 projects worldwide and over 30,000 energy blocks. Projects in Hungary, Japan, Germany and other regions have won high recognition from customers. Finally, he pointed out that for Pakistan’s emerging market, local adaptation capability will become a key corporate competitiveness.

Panel Discussion: Opportunities in Pakistan’s Energy Storage Market in 2026

The conference concluded with a panel discussion themed Optimized Pathways and Solutions for Entering Pakistan’s Energy Storage Market in 2026. The session was moderated by Sikander Ishtiaq, an expert in project financing and renewable energy, with the participation of multiple industry guests, including:
Su Jian, Sales Director of Asia Pacific Region, Singularity EnergyArfat Javed, Vice President of Sales, SkyElectricZubair Naseem, Chief Executive Officer, EBR EnergyAhmed Zia, Head of Technical Sales, Premier EnergySaad Shakil, Engineering & Business Development Manager, Orient Energy Systems
The guests engaged in in-depth exchanges on the key pathways from market opportunities to project implementation, focusing on core topics including the financing feasibility of energy storage projects, technology selection, local cooperation models, and the regulatory environment.
Ahmed Zia, Head of Technical Sales at Premier Energy, stated that the industry’s biggest challenge is insufficient market awareness rather than technology. Deepening customer understanding, data-driven design, and proper system configuration are more important than simply expanding energy storage capacity. It is necessary to guide customers to dispel misunderstandings about lithium-ion batteries.
Su Jian, Sales Director of Asia Pacific Region at Singularity Energy, proposed that the key to entering the Pakistani market lies in "global experience plus local implementation". Long-term strategy, local cooperation, and high-standard system capabilities are the core. Leveraging its rich practical experience in global markets, Singularity Energy will deeply cultivate Pakistan through localized cooperation models to seize market opportunities in 2026.
Zubair Naseem, Chief Executive Officer of EBR Energy, believed that the core of energy storage is "system capability plus user trust". Future industry competition will focus on complete solutions and delivery capabilities. The scale of industrial and commercial energy storage will grow rapidly along with user trust and benchmark projects. He suggested that investors establish a market presence with high-quality end-to-end solutions.
Regarding market opportunities and trends, Saad Shakil of Orient Energy Systems pointed out that the industrial sector, especially the textile industry, is currently the fastest-growing energy storage market and will become a core application scenario in the future. Arfat Javed of SkyElectric noted that energy storage is shifting from backup power to energy optimization, and solar+storage and AI-powered energy management will become future trends. Zubair Naseem added that industrial and commercial energy storage will become the largest growth segment and is expected to boom in the next 2–3 years, with market potential far exceeding that of the fiercely competitive residential energy storage market.
On project financial feasibility and cooperation models, Arfat Javed stated that uninterrupted power supply and cost control are customers’ core demands, and energy storage projects can achieve a return on investment within 3 to 4 years. Saad Shakil believed that a hybrid model combining EPC and OEM is the most suitable for the development of Pakistan’s energy storage market.
The guests then put forward supplementary policy recommendations. Zubair Naseem suggested that the government reduce import tariffs on energy storage equipment and introduce grid connection standards. Jassen emphasized that policy stability is key to attracting foreign investment and recommended formulating clear energy storage policies by drawing on the experience of Europe, the United States and Japan. Ahmed Zia proposed that the government strengthen the popularization of energy storage knowledge and promote the application of energy storage in microgrids and other fields. Arfat Javed called for optimizing net metering policies to encourage solar energy users to upgrade to hybrid systems. Saad Shakil stressed that the government needs to strengthen communication with enterprises and improve technical standards and relevant policies.

The participating experts agreed that Pakistan’s energy storage market is in a stage of rapid development. However, to achieve large-scale implementation, there is still a need to strengthen local cooperation, optimize financing structures, and promote the development of a clearer policy framework.
This online seminar provided the industry with an in-depth window into Pakistan’s energy storage market and further strengthened the industry consensus on the critical role of energy storage in the energy transition. In the future, with technological progress and the improvement of market mechanisms, Pakistan’s energy storage market is expected to embrace opportunities for larger-scale development.
On April 17, 2026, the Pakistan International Solar Exhibition will grandly open at the Lahore Expo Centre. Singularity Energy sincerely invites you to visit our booth M-2-7 for in-person exchanges and to unlock more opportunities together!
