JD Energy Shines at GGII Energy Storage Annual Conference, Two-Wheel Drive Propels the Leap of Energy Storage Industry Dec 12, 2
From December 9 to 11, the 2025 GGII Energy Storage Annual Conference & GGII Golden Globe Awards Ceremony, hosted by GGII Energy Storage and GGII (Gaogong Industry Research Institute), was grandly held in Shenzhen. Liu Weizeng, Founder & Chairman of JD Energy, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, systematically dissecting JD Energy’s exploration of ecological capacity building and breakthrough paths in the era of energy storage value restructuring.

In the keynote speech, Liu Weizeng pointed out that at present, the core competition in the domestic energy storage market has shifted from a single equipment contest to a deeper competition of systematic supply and refined operation. Although the overseas energy storage market has ushered in growth opportunities, it is facing challenges from involution and ecological pressures. Against this backdrop, JD Energy adopts a two-wheel drive development model of "product innovation + full value chain collaboration" to build a solid moat that withstands cycles and leads reform.
JD Energy breaks the homogenization dilemma through product innovation, renovates track value via technical concepts such as 4S integration and AC-DC integration, focuses on demands such as long-duration energy storage and grid-forming energy storage to iterate products, and builds a modular energy storage product matrix featuring safety and intelligent control. Meanwhile, JD Energy has constructed a full value chain covering project development, full-stack solutions, investment and financing services, intelligent operation, and digital O&M. It empowers project development with precise market insights, links high-quality resources to promote joint project construction, introduces "AI + trading" to reshape revenue structure and value-added potential, and guarantees full life cycle value through "full-domain coverage + intelligent management and control".

In the roundtable session, focusing on the core topic of "energy storage value", Liu Weizeng, Founder & Chairman of JD Energy, shared his insights. He believed that the essence of energy storage value can be deconstructed into two dimensions: explicit value and implicit value. Explicit value is mainly reflected in conversion efficiency, system online rate, and cycle life. Implicit value is the underlying technical support for the realization of explicit value, with safety as its core.
Liu Weizeng emphasized that JD Energy has always adhered to the principle of attaching equal importance to explicit value and implicit value. Even if the investment in implicit value is difficult to be directly perceived by customers, JD Energy continues to invest and is committed to the breakthrough and application of safety technologies, such as PACK-level fire protection, single-cluster management and other key safety technologies. The core logic is that safety is the fundamental guarantee for maximizing the full life cycle value of energy storage systems.

At the awards ceremony held concurrently, JD Energy won the "Annual Benchmark Project" of the GGII Golden Globe Award. The 60MW/120MWh behind-the-meter energy storage project for Jinxi Iron & Steel delivered by the company delivered an outstanding performance with excellent innovation and economy. This award means that JD Energy’s project delivery capability and technological innovation capability have been highly recognized by the industry, and further consolidates its leading position in the behind-the-meter energy storage market.
